Litecoin’s Lightning Network Reached 100 Nodes

Litecoin recently achieved more than 100 nodes active in the Lightning Network. They have 295 channels and 26.73 LTCs active, which is around $1,023!

Litecoin – Operating in Bitcoin’s Shades

With these hundred nodes, Litecoin has a lot of work ahead in order to reach its larger brother – Bitcoin. Bitcoin currently has 5183 active nodes, which are operating in more than five hundred different channels, and are worth around 2,2M dollars. Even if willing to catch up with Bitcoin’s 18% growth, Litecoin’s 6% are still far than enough. Anyway, Litecoin’s creator Charlie Lee is sure that Litecoin is an attractive alternative to follow.

Litecoin’s Bright Future in Obscurity

As an illustration of Litecoin’s price fluctuations last year, its founder sold lots of his LTCs, which became an object of critics. Even as a test network, Litecoin managed to record more than 21% of gains during the last week, which when compared to Bitcoin’s 5% is 4 times more successful. Of course, hundred nodes aren’t the ceiling for Litecoin’s development, so there’s a lot to do more.

If we should stick to a neutral position, the Proof-of-Work is still bringing some high charges to both the currencies. The idea of the Lightning Network is to actually avoid miner’s confirmation and get instant and low-payed transactions.

Litecoin: Bitcoin’s Silver Edition

Earlier Litecoin’s improvements are significantly catching up with Bitcoin’s obstructions according to a statement of Franklyn Richards:

“Litecoin’s Layer 1 blockchain remains free from congestion thanks to its 4x quicker block time, allowing it to process roughly 4x as many transactions than its big brother Bitcoin over the same time period.”

The seventh cryptocurrency according to the market cap is increasing its trading price. Developers are on the Network’s interface for implementing slightly changes in the UX/UI design, so even users with less technical knowledge can work with it without worries.

Zap: Unique Tandem of Gold and Silver

If you would like to ultimately experience both the currencies, according to the Litecoin forum, your best choice would be the desktop Zap software. It gives users the opportunity to quickly send and receive Bitcoin and Litecoin with minimum fees required by using the Lightning Network.
