Startis’ Long-Awaited C# Full Node is Finally Live

Last week Stratis’ team announce a long-awaited news. Finally, the replacer of their legacy X full nodes is here! It’s called Stratis C# full node and as declared by the project – “it’s more than a node”. A mixture of application in the same platform, in tandem with a C# extensive functionality!

Full Nodes Role

Full nodes are known as one of the basic elements of the blockchain, which supports the network. They are the peers of cryptocurrencies and decide everything delated to transactions. The current article is going to present you the newest Stratis full node, called C#, which reveals a brand-new idea behind them.

Stratis’ X Nodes

Promising to decrease crypto’s complexity, the team behind Stratis is working for two years on their latest upgrade. It’s time to announce the Mainnet of the Stratis C# full node! The new platform contains custom features and follows a simple and clear design thanks to the component-based structure it offers to the user.

Of course, Stratis always had some full nodes to support its network, otherwise it wasn’t going to exist so far. Standing for Stratis X nodes, these were the ones you might have run if you ever used a Stratis qt-wallet. Fully decentralized with stable security, now the Stratis project launched the C# nodes.

Stratis’ C# Node

Creating a Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) platform also named Stratis platform with an open source available to everyone was the very first step of developers’ journey. There’s a functionality to create a side chain, make a smart contract, fund an ICO of your choice and much more blockchain fin tech features. All these helped to design a powerful and unique full node software.

C# basically reuse the Bitcoin protocol by implementing it in the Proof-of-Stake consensus method. This is an extremely good decision since this is a commonly known protocol to work with from developers’ point of view. Announced as a “blockchain development kit”, C# is considered to become a favorite platform for creating applications.

What’s More on C# Full Node?

Supporting all the major consensus protocols such as Proof-of-Work, Proof-of-Stake and Proof-of-Authority, C# is working with multiple chains. The ability to create smart contracts means that it’s working with the .NET code – the first one ever made these ones in crypto. Some of the other features provided by the new full node are DLT solutions, different procedures, a new web API, diversity of wallet types, and also the new trend of cold staking (this one will be released after at least 95% of the users adopt the update).

Some adherences were added to the Stratis Core Wallet also such as pagination, more statistics, ability for resyncing, address book, public key retrieval and more.
